Known for his full-throated vocal style, Douglas "The Voice" Watson is one of North America's leading bass guitarists. From a dancer's point of view, the best thing about Douglas is that he loves us. He feeds off our energy as we feed off his. Together we set the floor on fire at the Waterloo Blues Junkie Exchange. Now, two years later, we're hungry for more... it's going to be one hell of a Friday night and you won't want to miss out.
Douglas is an accomplished performer; He has opened for James Brown, and has played with B.B. King, Johnny Lee Hooker, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Koko Taylor, and Shawn Kellerman. He played bass on several recording sessions in Chicago by artists like Lovie Lee, Blyther Smith, and Vance Kelly. Plus, he was featured along with Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Ray Vaughan on A. C. Reed’s recording,
I’m in the Wrong Business.
