The Legion19 Regina Street North, WaterlooOne of our standard haunts for local dances and workshop weekends, the Royal Canadian Legion is where it all begins with Douglas Watson and the R&B Revue on Friday night. Parking: The legion has a small parking lot so it's best if you park at the huge parking lot across from the late night venue (one block south). Floor: Hardwood, medium speed Features: Cash bar! Notes: There are lots of places to eat in Uptown Waterloo, just one block west of (behind) the Legion. |

The Waterloo Community Arts Centre25 Regina Street South, WaterlooWe are very happy to share this venue with you. The Waterloo Community Arts Centre sits at the core of the Waterloo scene. It has been used for weekly classes, dances, and workshops for as long as the swing community has existed in Waterloo. Many of us learned to dance in this building. We'll be spending our late nights here, from 1am til the wee hours of the morning... Two late nights... Two floors of blues... mmmmm blues. Parking: There is a huge parking lot across the street. Floor: Hardwood, medium speed |

The Schwaben Club1668 King Street East, KitchenerThe Saturday afternoon classes and evening dance will both be held in the comfortable, inviting atmosphere of the Schwaben Club. Not many people know this but the Club began in 1931 as a group of people who decided that it'd be nice to take care of each other if some of them got sick and could not work (pretty cool, eh?). Now the Club works towards improving the community while preserving and celebrating Waterloo's German heritage. Parking: There is parking on site, or at Popeye's Gym next door (if needed). Floor: Hardwood, medium speed Features: Cash bar! Notes: The King Street entrance is only accessible if you are heading west (entering Waterloo). It's best to use the back entrance, off Weber Street (see map). |

The Barn811 Bleams Road, KitchenerThat's right! It's a barn, and we're going to dance in it! Sunday starts at the crack of noon with a few classes followed by a BBQ and Barn Dance. Bring your camera. Parking: There's a huge open lot on site! The lot is unmarked, so be considerate with where you put your vehicle. Floor: Unfinished wood indoors, genuine dirt and down home grass outdoors (don't wear your good dance shoes) Notes: Park in the lot and follow the path to the barn! |
