Incidently, we asked the DJs we love to come spin for you -- they will be playing the entire range of Blues, from vintage to modern.

The NorthWest Crew

Kristin Buxton (Portland and now Seattle)

We first heard of her: "She's played all over the nation; she was doing the blues thing back 7, 8 years ago. She's the real deal." Yeah, that sounded good to us too.

Kristin has DJed at loads of local spots, plus LindyGroove, 2005 Denver Lindy Exchange, WCLX 6, San Francisco Lindy Exchange 2003, Seattle Lindy Exchange 2003, San Diego Lindy Prom, Vancouver Mini-Exchange 2002, and put together an online show for Yehoodi radio.

Scott Weinstein (Portland, OR)

Scott is a local favorite, as he created, ran and regularly DJ'd Portland's weekly Blues venue, Tuesday Blues.

A Blues DJ for the past 3 years, he started at local house parties and was eventually invited to dj at venues throughout the Northwest. He has a reputation for always delivering solid danceable sets while remaining creative and diverse in his music selections.

Josh Keroes

Joshua Keroes (Portland, OR)

If you want to get to know Josh's music tastes, you simply have to take a look at B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor, and the other greats of Chicago Blues. He has been DJing booty groovin' tunes since Portland's first weekly Blues venue opened.

Cid Galicia (Sacramento, CA)

Cid specializes in spending time in the study of the music, artists, and history.

He began DJing house parties, and then has gone on to the Reno Dance Sensation, Friday Night Blues, MJLSX 2007, and Up in the Kitchen, the Blues night at his new dance studio - Studio One.

John Lozano (Cleveland, OH)

Since he's also teaching, we could have gone with a normal DJ photograph, but then we realized none of his photos looked normal. So here is the picture of a man who has spent too many years spinning Blues, too many late nights dusting off records, and had too many hot grooves on the dance floor (if there is such a thing as 'too many').

Jered Morin (Dallas, TX)

An 8 year DJ veteran, Jered spins with a passion for the classic Soul, Swing, and Blues that has gotten him invited to Cheap Thrills Blues, Cleveland All Bal Weekend, Waterloo Blues Junkie, Philly Lindy Love, the Frankie Manning Weekend, and many, many more.
