About MezzJelly

We want to expand knowledge of African-American dances and have a ridiculously good time doing it. That's why since 1999 our motto has been “To Educate and Amuse.” We need YOU to be a part of that fun!

Back in 1999 we didn't know what kind of response we'd get when we started putting on events (the first ones were in a living room!). So we were happily surprised when MezzJelly events kept getting bigger and bigger...and now we host inter-national dance competitions, exchanges, workshops and parties for all our friends!

The reason? We always strive to improve the dancing experience for ourselves and all Mezzheads – with our tongue firmly in cheek the whole time.

Who are Mezzheads?

Every dancer who comes to a MezzJelly event finds something there they can't get anywhere else. After that first one, we usually see them at almost every MJ event. They have become an addict...a Mezzhead.

But however often we see you, everybody who keeps the spirit of African-American dance alive is a Mezzhead to us.
